Goji Berries

With a supreme dose of healthy nutrients, goji berries are certainly worthy of their famous ‘superfood’ status. But it’s not just their high nutritional values; their sheer flavoursome versatility and unique, slightly tangy, sweet and sour flavour makes them a perfect natural enhancement for so many meals and diet plans. We are proud to supply one of the biggest ranges of goji berry products in the UK, including fully organic packs in various sizes, a range of extra-practical powders, chocolate and some sumptuous goji juice. As established goji fans will know, no collection would be complete without the world-renowned Ningxia fruit, grown in the mineral-rich floodplain soils of China’s Yellow River.

More about this superfood

Goji Berries (Lycium barbarum) or Wolfberries, are well known among the UK and European wholefood community, and are one of the most nutritionally dense fruits on Earth. How to use gojis

Gojis go with almost anything. Add this superfood to salads, smoothies, cereals, cakes, trail mixes or anything you wish! Gojis are also a formidable flavouring and nutrition boosting ingredient in herbal teas. You can even just snack on them (we do). Head to the bottom of this page for more top culinary tips.

Our top tips

  • Snack on a handful of goji berries a day. Their sweet yet earthy, rich but delicate taste makes them beautiful on their own.
  • Go gee-up yourself with a goji berry tea! Soak them in a large glass of hot or cold water, or herbal tea, and let them absorb the moisture for 5 to 10 minutes. They’ll infuse your brew with a subtle aroma and taste – and the juicily hydrated berries provide an antioxidant-packed snack!
  • Blend your pre-soaked gojis into your favourite smoothies. Don’t worry: it won’t change the taste or texture of the drink too much.
  • Scatter your berries over any mixed salad and sprinkle with a finishing touch of balsamic vinegar – bellissimo!
  • Add them to your daily cereal routine or throw them (gently) in your own trail mix.
  • Use them anywhere you might normally add currants or raisins. A similar flavouring but with that super goji power!

Which ones are right for you?

Well of course, they are all fantastic, both in quality and flavour. We simply wouldn't have it any other way. Nonetheless, here is a quick summary of our goji products.

Standard Goji Berries (Ningxia): Our standard goji berries are from the province of Ningxia in China. These goji berries are great in quality, and have passed all pesticides and residues tests. The moisture content is higher than normal, so they can stick together somewhat! This is perfectly normal. However, keeping them in the fridge is a good way to help them break apart more easily.

Organic Goji Berries:  Our beautiful organic goji berries are also grown in China, and come from 100% certified organic sources, giving you some of the most delicious and highest quality goji berries available anywhere on the continent!

Organic Tibetan Goji Berries: These are currently the highest quality gojis we sell and have always been a real favourite with our UK and European customers. They are, as you would expect, certified as being fully organic. Which is always good news for giving you both maximum nutrition and full-on flavour. It's also worth noting that Tibetan goji berries are grown at a higher altitude than most other goji berries. This makes the Tibetan variety one of the purest available.

Other options: Alternative ways of consuming this superfood are goji juice, goji tea, chocolate and super handy goji powder!
